I loved it。 It was full of super steamy moments but also had a lot of story to it。 It was a good balance between the two。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。

Also I just finished reading this last night and It。 Was。 Fantastic。 It's a super actiony romance (with a lot of hot smuttytimes)。 The heroine is an absolute badass, too。 Literally kicks ass and takes names。 The gist of the story is: heroine is working in deep space to repair a satellite, gets pulled through wormhole, and ends up on the far end of the universe。 She's captured by alien pirates, but one of them (guess which one) realizes she's a sentient being。The entire thing gave me (smutty) Ann Also I just finished reading this last night and It。 Was。 Fantastic。 It's a super actiony romance (with a lot of hot smuttytimes)。 The heroine is an absolute badass, too。 Literally kicks ass and takes names。 The gist of the story is: heroine is working in deep space to repair a satellite, gets pulled through wormhole, and ends up on the far end of the universe。 She's captured by alien pirates, but one of them (guess which one) realizes she's a sentient being。The entire thing gave me (smutty) Anne McCaffrey vibes, so if you think this is what you need in your life, run toward it! Wow insta-hotI really enjoyed the characters。 I especially liked how fierce Sasha was。 I liked that she didn’t back down or fall insta-love with the guy。 This was definitely a layered cake of a story。 I hope there is a second book。

Not a fan of the ending。 Too many loose threads leaving it unsatisfying。

Excellent sci fi romantic adventureThe world building is fascinating, the characters are great (Sasha kicks ass), and the story is excellent。 There are trigger warnings and graphic sex, as well as several brutal scenes, but I enjoyed Fate a lot。 I especially love Sasha and her ability to take care of herself, kicking asses and not caring about their names。

This was so great! Thanks to Kate for convincing me to read it by saying it had New Species vibes。Sasha was the 'tough heroine' that, in my opinion, is rarely done so well。 She was kickass without being unrealistic。 She wasn't annoying, and she wasn't bitchy or mean to the H for no reason other than because she's 'strong。' When she was distrustful of him, it made perfect sense to me, and when she decided to trust him, she TRUSTED him and remained rock solid。And Ardalon was so sweet and totally w This was so great! They formed such a good bond that really held the whole plot together。 I've been addicted to romances with definitely-not-a-human heroes lately, and this one really stood out as having a unique and strong plot that was more than just about the Hs alienness。 But he was very alien, and the slow burn was HOT and when the fire lit, it was even HOTTER!There wasn't anything mentioned in the back of the book about a sequel, but I really hope there's another book coming with another Kursh/human couple!CW: (view spoiler)[ There was a pretty graphic near-rape scene that was almost too much for me, and some sensory-deprivation torture, with a pretty real take on PTSD afterward that a lot of books overlook, which was something I thought very commendable。 Hard to read at times, but realistic。 (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

**Slight spoilers**Honestly this book had me reading until 3 a。m。, but the ending was so 。。。 Neutering? Power stealing? Anti climatic? Do you remember the end of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, when Beast turned into the prince and you were like, ewww, I liked him better as the Beast? It has everything I enjoy in a sci-fi romance:-Fierce and strong female lead-An alien that is actually alien-like -TONS of action -A steamy slow burn with mutual respect-A woman who SAVES HERSELF -Wonderful world building-Political intrigue Sasha is an engineer from Earth, alone for three months working to repair Earth’s satellites。 She is one of the STRONGEST and well-written female characters I’ve read in a long time。 Each and every time she got herself out of a jam, I was cheering her on!Ardalon is working for his government as an undercover agent。 He first spots Sasha after she’s been taken and caged by the smuggling group he’s infiltrated。 While he doesn’t recognize her species, there is something intelligent in her eyes and he wants to know more about her。 This isn’t insta-love or lust, it a wonderful getting-to-know-you, cross-species slow burn romance。 There is the added bonus that Ardalon is BUILT and is a soft, fuzzy cat-like dude。 My one negative thought is when she is finally able to speak with him, some of the dialogue felt。。。immature or forced, campy? I actually liked it when they were learning each other’s language the old fashioned way and having to watch body signals to communicate。 “Ardalon help Sa-shuh,” he insisted, his voice tense。She shook her head to tell him no, he didn’t really help her like he’d promised。 “Sasha helps Sasha,” she answered。 I guess I have one more complaint。 As a grown ass woman, I’d be embarrassed to read the paperback with this cheesy cover, so thank goodness I was able to get it on KU。 Still, I appreciate the time it took to make Ardalon look exactly how he’s described in the book。 。。。more

Loved this book! got me engaged when the H was described as a feline alien species :D I adored the heroine, she is such a kick-ass girl! It absolutely fascinated me that she rescued herself several times, not waiting (as usual in this kind of novels) for the H to come and save her。 Another thing I really liked is that it's a slow burn romance, I'm quite tired of the insta-love, insta-lust trope。I'm totally readinga second installment if there's one。 Loved this book! got me engaged when the H was described as a feline alien species :D I adored the heroine, she is such a kick-ass girl! I would’ve given her character 5 stars。 Finally a female lead that’s not a Mary Sue。 I loved how she got out of trouble by herself and the fact that she was not showing mercy to her enemies was refreshing。 I gave 3 stars tho cause I didn’t like the relationship between them。 It didn’t do it for me I don’t really know how to explain it。

Alien RomanceThis is the first book in a series, but stands alone as a unique story。 There is no cliffhanger。Sasha is a engineer out on the edged of known space, far from her home of Alpha Centauri。 She’s taken the hazard pay to repair satellites in her tiny solitary vessel with only her plastic clock for company。 She is ripped from known space by a wormhole and dumped somewhere completely unknown to humanity。 She wakes up in a cell surrounded by strange creatures。Ardalon is Kursh, a race of lio Alien RomanceThis is the first book in a series, but stands alone as a unique story。 There is no cliffhanger。Sasha is a engineer out on the edged of known space, far from her home of Alpha Centauri。 She’s taken the hazard pay to repair satellites in her tiny solitary vessel with only her plastic clock for company。 She is ripped from known space by a wormhole and dumped somewhere completely unknown to humanity。 She wakes up in a cell surrounded by strange creatures。Ardalon is Kursh, a race of lion like aliens。 He is undercover on board the ship which holds Sasha。 Whilst he is debating with his superiors over what to do, Sasha manages to free herself, causing mayhem in her wake。This book was a bit darker than I was anticipating。 There is attempted sexual assault, murder and psychological torture。 Despite being a different experience than I was expecting I really enjoyed the book。 Being darker in places gave the book more depth than your usual alien romances。 Whilst it was still girl meets alien, girl falls for alien and has lots of hot sex, there was more meat on the bones of this romance。 It meant the warm and fuzzy romance has a side of fear alongside it。Sasha was an interesting character。 She doesn’t have much family and feels very isolated from everyone。 She’s served in the military and has the upgrades and training given to soldiers, which helped keep her alive in this new part of the universe。 She doesn’t trust anyone really and prefers rage over fear in terrible situations。Ardalon is unusual in his race as he isn’t allowed to breed for genetic reasons。 Despite being a kind of outcast to his race he has succeeded in his chosen career to the surprise of many。 He has climbed the ranks of the law enforcement organisation he works for。 He is compassionate and protective almost immediately with Sasha and he finds her fascinating。 She has no built in weaponry like his race as she has blunt teeth and no claws, but she is still fearless。I like that the author has included some history to both main characters and has built up a strange and interesting universe to set the story in。 There is politics to deal with as well as physical and emotional peril。 There is also lots of hot alien passion。This is the first book I’ve read by this author, I might be tempted to read something by her again if I come across it。 。。。more

I was not expecting much from this book, but this was a good surprise。 It had everything, a dominant but not overly dominant male lead, a strong female lead, adventure and sexy times。 The theme song for this book should be Cinderella - The Cheetah girls, the theme just fits so well and yes I chose this because it’s Cheetahs, and I know it’s not the same as lions but give me this 🙏。Was this a perfect book? Definitely。 I really loved that the female lead, she was admirable and fought back。 She is easy to root for。 Often with books like these, the female leads just wait for the male lead to rescue them, but this girl was not like that at all, she rescued herself。 The male lead was the perfect balance of dominant alpha male without going too far, which is a large issue with books like this。 Would definitely recommend anyone considering it to just read it。 Forewarned though, the description of the male lead’s physical form is quite feline heavy and that was completely weird but other than that, it was great。 。。。more
